Tru-Spec Scorpion OCP Improved Hot Weather Military Uniform Coat

The Scorpion OCP Improved Hot Weather Military Uniform Shirt features marked enhancements to overall design and fabric quality, culminating in a garment that is cooler and more breathable than the standard issue combat uniform coat. The shirt is constructed of Cordura NYCO Extreme Rip-Stop material with a wrinkle-free finish, which is used on the Improved Hot Weather Combat Uniform currently selected and fielded by the US Army. This material is special in that it is 17 percent lighter in weight than standard Cordura nylon without compromising superior durability. This is evident in the 3 times higher tearing strength it delivers, as well as 10 times the breathability and 35 percent faster drying time that make this uniform shirt truly built to withstand extended deployment in extremely hot environments. It's also much softer to the touch than the standard issue OCP coat. For extra reinforcement, the elbows feature Cordura Type IV nylon patches to reduce blowouts and wear in these highly prone areas.

The uniform jacket features a traditional fold-down collar with a fusible interlining for structural reinforcement and stretch reduction. This combined with a single-breasted buttondown closure with a concealed front placket ensures that the shirt maintains a streamlined appearance. In addition to loop fields on the front of the shirt to accommodate rank and insignia patches, name tape, and branch tape, the sleeves have tabs with IFF glow covers designed to help prevent friendly fire incidents, allowing your squadmates to easily identify you during low-light ops while wearing night vision goggles. The uniform shirt also features a dual-channel pencil pocket on the left sleeve to keep a writing utensil close at hand to jot down coordinates in the field or logistical notes on base, as well as two bellowed opening upper sleeve pockets to store items like a small radio, multitool, or pocket knife. These pockets have drain holes as well, which help to keep their contents from being damaged by prolonged water exposure.
