I bought these to go in my 24/7 tru spec pants. The pads are thin but supply enough cushioning when kneeling but wouldnt protect you well if you fell on your knees. The only down side is that they don't breathe and my knees can get hot and sweaty especially while driving when the sun beats down on them, this is all forgotten when Im kneeling on air grates or hard flooring at work.
