the outer fabric is a little thinner then I think the original 1951 design was. But that being said, it completely blocks the wind and is incredibly warm and so you can see why the US Government used this design during the Korean War. I'm probably going to buy the black colored version at some point in future.

I love this jacket because it keeps the cold out but itís also not bulky when Iím driving. Fits me well and I am a small. Very well-made!

Got this as an xmas gift for my mother, an army vet, who had been complaining that she'd rather just have the coat from her service days. Only downside is that the wool lining was not available but she seems to be happy with it nontheless.
