The Gerber Hinderer Combat Life Saver knife was designed by firefighter, Rick Hinderer. Hinderer used real life experiences as a firefighter to design a knife that features qualities that you would want to have in a rescue knife.

The Hinderer features a sharp serrated blade that can quickly and easily cut through seatbelts or anything you may encounter in the field.

Understanding that most firefighters are wearing large gloves, Hinderer designed this rescue knife using large features such as the oversized thumb stud that makes it easy to open the blade while wearing gloves.
