The Carolina Pitstop is an incredibly durable, comfortable, and protective 8-inch work boot built for the toughest jobs out there. The rock solid design starts with an upper made of gray acid-resistant leather, which makes these work boots suited for heavy duty industrial environments with material that won't break down when exposed to corrosive chemicals. This is bolstered by an extremely flexible welt construction, which allows the Pitstop's outsole to be replaced multiple times to extend its overall lifespan. Carolina applied the same idea of high-traction car tires to these work boots by equipping them with Goodyear Variable Temperature Rubber outsoles. Combining Evolving Traction Grooves and Tredlock technology, the treads of this outsole will lock together when cornered to provide more open, biting edges when you need enhanced traction on wet surfaces - keeping you safely on your feet and reducing the risk of falling. In the way of comfort, the Pitstop utilizes the Overtime Comfort System, which is made up of a thick PU underside and plush memory foam top that cradles the natural shape of your foot, granting you the support and cushioning you need during long shifts.

Wore these boots for 12 hours straight right out of the box and my feet felt great all day long. They fit true to size in my case and have great ankle support. The laces will need to be replaced rather quickly from the looks of it, but that is pretty common with all boots I've owned. I will certainly be purchasing Carolina boots again in the future.
