The Carolina Amp USA is a 6-inch wedge sole work boot with a steel toe and heritage style that's proudly American-made. Built on an ultra-flexible and shock absorbing Meramec Raptor wedge outsole, this work boot stands flat as opposed to standard work boots that have a heel. A wedge sole is great if you work in maunfacturing, as it grants maximum surface contact and thus balanced and level support that takes a lot of added strain off of your lower back and knees that results from standing on flat surfaces in a heeled boot. Wedge sole work boots like the Amp USA are also great for carpenters and steel workers, as not having a heel makes it easier and safer to shift your footing when standing on scaffolding without fear of a heel catching an edge.
