In addition to its high traction, slip and oil resistant rubber outsoles, the Tactical Sport 2 features a composite safety toe for lightweight, flexible protection when kicking in doors, as well as a 90-degree heel for better stability while climbing. In terms of comfort, a lightweight cushioned midsole absorbs the shock of running, walking, and landing, while an energy-returning foam insert and Strobel construction help to reduce leg fatigue and improve lateral stability. And on top of being built on a full athletic last, the tactical boots also feature 11 millimeters of heel to toe drop (the elevation of the heel in relation to the toe) for better ground contact and reduction of foot injuries during high-activity engagements.
