The Timberland Pro True Grit is a wickedly tough 8-inch work boot designed withstand brutal hours on the job. It starts with an upper comprised of brown full-grain EverGuard leather, which offers 10 times the abrasion-resistance of typical leather in addition to being waterproof and heat-resistant up to 348 degrees Fahrenheit. This combined with a pair of All-Weather TPU outsoles that are also heat-resistant make the True Grit an excellent choice for those who work in steel mills, hot stamping plants, or other environments in close quarters with high-heat equipment that pose a melting hazard to your boots. Beyond that, a waterproof breathable membrane supplemented by bloodborne pathogen resistance keep you dry and protected in the face of wet weather, flooded areas, or bodily fluids. The work boot also features a composite safety toe powered by CarbonShield technology, which is significantly stronger than standard composite while offering a better fit and lighter weight.

The True Grit is as comfortable as it is protective, coming equipped with Anti-Fatigue Technology footbeds made of the same material as those mats found on factory floors, and offering the same energy-returning cushioning to combat sore, fatigued joints wherever you step. This is supplemented by a cushioned PU midsole and non-metallic shank that provide lightweight, flexible support that cuts down on strain to your knees and lower back.

Unlike a lot of 8-inch work boots out there, the True Grit features a side-zipper that makes them much easier to get on and off. Though to ensure that they grant you as snug of a fit as they would had you laced them up, ExoSpine technology maintains the structure of the boot and securely locks the heel in place.
